Sustainability

vildwerk.s very essence lies in its concern for the natural and wild world, climate change and ecological crisis. It is therefore a given to ensure that, as a role model, the organizational conduct, action and behavior are in line with its mission and vision, in as much as reasonably possible for an organization based in New York City – the concrete jungle.

On a day-to-day basis, vildwerk. operates a paperless system and limits meetings to being held virtually in as much as possible, so as at to avoid the pollution and related cost of transport.

With a promise to produce as little wastage as possible, vildwerk. is committed to ensuring that any materials used as part of its events are being recycled and disposed of appropriately, and to work with like-minded partners sharing this outlook.

vildwerk. only serves vegetarian food at reception events, given the meat industry is a major contributor to climate change, land degradation, and biodiversity loss.

By taking a further little step to help make a change and thanks to our partner Nature and Culture International, vildwerk. planted 100 trees in the province of Pastaza, Ecuador, arranged by women of the community of the Shuar Indigenous Nationality in honor of the guests who attended our inaugural dinner gala in 2023 at The Bowery Hotel, New York City and will continue doing so in future.
